Class of 2016

CleanFiber, formerly known as UltraCell Insulation, makes high performance building insulation from recycled corrugated cardboard. Our competitors make cellulose insulation from recycled newsprint, but are facing rapidly dwindling supplies as readers turn online. In contrast, our unique patented and proven process allows us to manufacture a superior product from corrugated cardboard at a lower cost than conventional cellulose insulation. Our performance and cost advantages have been proven at scale via production and installation trials in conjunction with the nation’s largest recycler of corrugated cardboard. We are preparing to launch our first facility and we have customer commitments for millions of dollars in advance sales.

Jon Strimling: Dynamic, experienced, hungry.

If you could go back in time and talk to yourself at the beginning stages of your company, what advice would you give yourself?

JS: Don't ever doubt how big an opportunity this can become.

What is the most exciting thing about being an entrepreneur?

JS: We all just love building businesses. Not easy, but something we love to do.
