Five-day celebration of Buffalo’s emerging startup ecosystem is free and open to the public

BUFFALO, NY – Sept. 10, 2019 – The inaugural Techstars Startup Week Buffalo will take place from Sept. 15 to 19. This five-day celebration of Buffalo’s emerging startup ecosystem will feature dozens of speakers from Western New York and across North America, workshops, networking opportunities, and social events.

This conference, which is free and open to the public, is designed to support and connect Western New York entrepreneurs, aspiring founders, corporate leaders, investors, technologists, innovation leaders, service providers, and those interested in becoming involved in the startup community.

Daily programming, which takes place on a Sunday afternoon and weekday evenings, will be centered around the following seven tracks:

  • Startup 101
  • Finance
  • Legal
  • Design
  • Development
  • Game Development
  • Techstars

Buffalo Game Expo and Kick-Off Party for Techstars Startup Week Buffalo

Sunday, Sept. 15 at 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Come play video games and board games created by artists, designers, musicians, and programmers residing in and around Western New York.

Bit Crushed Presents: Warp Zone Closing Party

Thursday, Sept. 19, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Dance the night away to live music and live video art installations from some of Buffalo’s Chiptune and VJ artists.

More than 20 local organizers have been involved in planning Techstars Startup Week Buffalo. It is presented by the Techstars Startup Ecosystem Development program in Buffalo, which is a partnership between Techstars and 43North, with support from Empire State Development, M&T Bank, National Grid, the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation, Viaduct, and others.
