The Henry A. Panasci Jr. Technology Entrepreneurship Competition brings together UB students from science, technology, business and other disciplines to maximize their potential and create viable businesses in Western New York. Criteria: Applications are open to students with innovative ideas in the life sciences, technology and engineering industries. In order to enter, the team leader must be a full-time or part-time UB matriculating student, undergraduate, or graduate level or be a “post doc.” Other team members can be non-University at Buffalo students or community members. It is recommended, but not required, that each team have one full-time or part-time UB MBA student. Only one submission of a new business venture per team is permitted. Individuals may be a member of only one team. Teams may be as small as one student, and there is no maximum size. This competition is intended only for student teams that have not received any previous outside investment in excess of $25,000 prior to November of the current competition year.
