The Buffalo Institute for Genomics and Data Analytics (BIG) is the result of a governor-authorized $100 million collaboration between the University at Buffalo and the New York Genome Center in Manhattan. Governor Andrew Cuomo selected UB because of its expertise in high performance computing and its recognized leadership in genomics and analysis of patient data. BIG is transforming genomic medicine nationally while building the healthcare economy regionally.
