Batavia Industrial Center

About

When Massey-Ferguson, the largest industrial center in Batavia, N.Y. closed down in 1956, it left vacant an 850,000 square foot complex of multistory buildings. The Mancuso family purchased the building and instead to divide and rent to separate businesses while providing shared office services, assistance with raising capital and business advice. The Batavia Industrial Center (BIC) became the world’s first business incubator, and has filled millions of square feet of old buildings while helping thousands of businesses create jobs.
